Pains of Growing up, Inspired by Labyrinth

Pains of growing up shows a dinner setting with a battle between child innocence and maturity. The this dinner setting is seen as creepy and was set up by a maniac, it was suppose to show the fantasies of innocence being challenged by the harsh adult world. Most of this innocence is shown by material objects that a person needs to let go of in order to find the value in family, but as the person does, they face a maze of obstacles to look for that balance of childhood and adulthood. The many layers of this piece was hard to capture when it came to showing every topic being told through the piece and it ended up looking creepier then intended, but after watching the movie that inspired me to make this about 10 times, I can see where the crazy maniac feeling came from.
